Florence Prioleau practices legislative advocacy before Congress and federal agencies on behalf of private companies, trade associations and municipal governments on such diverse issues as health care reform, transportation and public works, housing, agricultural commodities, copyright law, and environmental matters. Ms. Prioleau represents corporate clients in connection with a variety of commercial and business transactions.
Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Prioleau was assistant director of the Domestic Policy Staff at the White House under Stuart E. Eizenstat, during the Carter administration. She was responsible for policy development on a broad range of issues and acted as a liaison to Congress and various federal agencies. From 1976 to 1979, Ms. Prioleau served on the professional staff of the House Ways and Means Committee. Ms. Prioleau served as Senior Legislative Assistant to Congressman Charles B. Rangel from 1975 to 1976, and was responsible for tax, health and human services, and trade legislative matters.
